Gerard

Born in the Philippines and raised in Austria, Gerard pursued his studies in both schools of design and business in New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, graduating cum laude.

He began his design career in the United States working with different organizations such as Maison de Chanel, Catherine Malandrino, New York Fashion Week’s IMG and The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, among others.

In 2009, he returned to Austria to continue his career at the Lomographic Society International with the mandate to establish and grow the visual merchandising department during the expansion into  multiple  cities, from Shanghai to Sao Paulo.

Gerard eventually made the shift from design to media communications in 2014 at the art foundation of famed collector Francesca von Habsburg –TBA21. Art Communications allowed him to combine the power of art activism and social awareness in promoting several projects such as the partnership with Parley for the Oceans and the Green Light Project with artist Olafur Eliasson, in response to the European refugee displacement of 2016 , to name a few.

After 2 years in the arts, he found his way to RDB where he currently serves multiple senior functions within the agency and the holding it belongs to. In 2018 Gerard spearheaded the APAC expansion and is a current Managing Partner of RDB Manila Inc
